Accountability

Accountability

We believe that every resource entrusted to Watoto can bring meaningful transformation to someone who is in need. Integrity is part of our core values, and responsible stewardship defines the way we operate.

Watoto optimizes the resources it has by sending them where they are most needed. We carefully monitor and review our programs and costs, and we do all we can to use donations and grants for their intended purposes. In addition, we continually strive to keep our operating costs low.

Sources of Funding
Watoto is a ministry of Watoto Church. As a result, the church is morally and financially committed to the consistent support of Watoto.

Watoto also relies on long-term relationships with international partners, who regularly support us through financial backing and professional expertise. These relationships have been established out of mutual respect, integrity and accountability.

Global Support Offices

Watoto began in 1983 in Kampala, Uganda. As the ministry grew, so did the need to facilitate support. Today, we have 11 support offices throughout the world where our partners and sponsors live. Our support offices are located in Asia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Uganda, the UK and the USA. Each office is regulated by a local Board of Directors, ensuring good practice at all levels.

This support has allowed us to expand our work to meet the needs of the most vulnerable in Uganda and South Sudan.
