Watoto Child Care Ministries welcomes you to visit Uganda and would greatly appreciate your help in building a building that makes up the Watoto Village.
What else can be more impressive than a home-building experience for hopeless war-torn orphans or helpless AIDS children? By giving them a home, they will be brought up to be the future leaders of Uganda! Their life stories will be rewritten by your hands. Every year people around the world are heading for Uganda to a building project launched by Watoto Children Village. People with various age groups go in teams or on their own help setting up houses, schools and clinics for Watoto. Now we present you a golden opportunity to achieve something wonderful and great. You need not be a well-trained construction worker, but a warm-hearted person to join the professional construction team and work out your dream as well as others. Come and give a hand to the building project!

Watoto visiting teams of 2012 are now for applying,
4 Jul – 18 Jul (Chinese University Team)
27 Jul – 11 Aug (Building Team)
7 Sep – 15 Sep (Baby Watoto Team) The cost is about HKD14,000.
2 Nov – 17 Nov (Building Team)
Application deadline: Applications will be accepted until all places are filled.
Fee: Approximately HKD18, 000 (Subject to change depending on plane ticket prices)
Remark: The fee depends on the price of plane tickets and number of participants. We also welcome different organizations, schools and churches to form their own teams. Watoto Asia is happy to be of assistance.
This fee covers your round trip plane ticket, accommodation, meals and insurance. (Members can choose to join a 3 day 2 night safari trip at their own expense. The safari trip will be arranged by Watoto and be an extra HKD4000.)
Building team member: required to raise their own funds for the building of the house or classroom and other construction fees, around HKD6,000 – HKD8,000
per build team member. For a more complete children’s village, things such as water, electricity, sewage, footpaths, roads and community facilities will be
built to go with the existing village houses, schools, clinics, teachers’ quarters, kitchens, youth hostels and other buildings.
Baby team member: required to raise their own funds for baby’s home, around HKD6,000 – HKD8,000 per baby team member. For child medical costs, transportation, food & consumables, utilities, security, repairs & maintenance, administration & ministry expenses.
We’ll provide fundraising tickets as a fundraising tools.
Proposed itinerary: Classroom building in the children’s village, cultural exchange with the watoto children, playing games and barbecuing with the children. Visiting the following places: 3 watoto children’s villages, the babies home, the watoto goat farm and “Self Sustaining Farm “, Gulu’s slum area, the women of Living Hope and their workplace.
All you have to do is to fill in the attached form and to provide 2 recommendation letters together with a cheuqe “Watoto Hong Kong Limited” of HKD3,000 deposit. Then send the forms and the cheuqe to our office: Room 1903-05, 19/F., Holly Plaza, 610 Nathan Road, MongKok, Kowloon, HK. , please also write “To: Watoto Asia”, attn. to Joanne Lam / Moe Tam on envelope.
We will have an interview and at least one briefing before the trip.
