2024 Spring – Bobi Agribusiness Institute

Last month, we had the soft opening at Bobi Agribusiness Institute (BAI),  which is targets to provide technical and business training, as well as hands-on agribusiness experience for graduates from Watoto. 

BAI is a fully integrated agribusiness. Once launched, it will provide technical and business training and hands-on experience for graduates from Watoto in preparation for their gainful employment in Uganda’s agribusiness and food sectors. 

Graduates will be trained in general agriculture and one of three specialty areas: plant sciences; animal sciences or agribusiness. In addition, BAI produces food for its residents, community workers, as well as local and international markets.

Students have been working at Watoto sustainability farms, including goat dairy, vegetable farm and poultry operation while waiting for BAI to open. They are now helping to set up the work stations and get ready for our official opening which is June 25, 2024.
