Stories of Life Transformation

Benard

Before joining Watoto, Benard and his mother barely got by, and he was often sent away from school because they could not afford to pay the fees necessary for him to attend. But all that changed when his mum was selected to serve as a Watoto mother at Suubi village. She now takes care of Benard and a house full of his new Watoto brothers and sisters, and they have nutritious food, medical care, and a safe place to call home. And Benard no longer has to worry about missing school. He gets to study his favourite subject, science, and hopes to use what he is learning to become a farmer one day. Today, Benard is excited to be on tour with the Watoto Children’s Choir and share with the world about how Jesus gave him and his mother, a new home at Watoto with a bright future ahead. Come hear Benard and the rest of the Watoto Children’s Choir share their stories. Hope to see you soon!

Patience

Before coming to Watoto, life was difficult for Patience and her mother, and they often struggled to make ends meet. But five years ago, when Patience was eight years old, she and her mother received a life-changing opportunity to join Watoto. Now, while Patience receives a well-rounded education at Watoto’s Suubi village, her mother is being empowered through our Watoto Neighbourhood program that’s providing her with spiritual discipleship, vocational training and business classes. Although she had a rocky start in life, today Patience is a bright 13-year-oldwho is traveling the world with the Watoto Children’s Choir sharing the beautiful story of how Jesus restored hope for her and her mother. Don’t miss out. Come meet Patience and the rest of the choir!

Regina

Regina was rescued when she was just two and half years old and welcomed into a loving family at Watoto. Over the years, she has grown into smart, radiant, 11-year-old with a promising future ahead. Regina is grateful to her sponsors for helping her get an education and dreams of becoming a lawyer when she grows up. In her free time, she enjoys playing sports, like soccer and basketball, and dancing with her friends. This year, Regina has the exciting opportunity to travel throughout Australia and Asia as part of the Watoto Children’s Choir and can’t wait to dance her way into everyone’s hearts. We sincerely hope that you’ll come see Regina and the rest of the choir when they visit your area. We believe it will be lifechanging.

Peterson

Peterson was rescued and brought to Baby Watoto when he was just 10 days old, and he’s been surrounded by the love of Jesus ever since. Now, at 10 years old, Peterson loves that he gets to run through Suubi village and play his favourite sport, soccer, with his friends. Peterson has a wonderful Watoto mother that takes great care of him. She works hard to point him towards Jesus, and Peterson says his favourite scripture is Deuteronomy 31:6 because it reminds him to be strong. It would mean the world to Peterson and the rest of the Watoto Children’s Choir if you stopped by and said hello at one of their upcoming concerts. We know you’ll be blessed to hear about all the amazing God is doing in their lives and throughout Uganda.
